Low-Cost does not equal poor quality. We only work with Chinese suppliers who have implemented rigorous quality assurance systems such as ISO 9000 or any Statistical Process Control (SPC) system.
Quality Assurance Even though our suppliers produce high quality products, we make sure that quality always is kept high and consistent. Our engineers are always close to our suppliers and we make sure that our customers interests are looked after at all times. We believe that local presence is crucial and that it adds value to our customers. Quality Plans Our quality plan is a graphical flow chart of the manufacturing process. It describes what features that should be controlled or tested, in what step in the process, and what documents that is attached to the process. This is a powerful tool when giving an overview to any stakeholder who needs learn the process quickly. For instance, using the quality plan for teaching a new shop floor employee what part in the assembly process he or she is in charge of and what documents he or she need to use. The quality plan is also good when identifying potential problems and to make sure that there are not redundant testing or that anything is forgotten. The quality plan is an important part of the overall quality assurance. Quality Audits Sustainable results are gained by an active process which is always monitored and improved. We make frequent audits at our suppliers to make sure that the processes are kept active and constantly improving. Our audits vary in the amount of detail but will always be honest in order to identify any flaws. We begin with looking at key measurements. If any numbers deviate suddenly, we do a more thorough analysis in order to find the root cause of the problem. The key is to make the audits as cost effective and powerful as possible. We believe that in order to fix a problem you need to know about it. When known, it is much easier to take powerful measurements. All stakeholders gain from fixing problems. The suppliers, we, and the customers all gain from it. That is why our quality audits are important. | | |
